Bernardo Salazar is a litigator lawyer and university professor, graduated from the Rosario University. He has graduate studies in Civil Procedural Law of the Externado University of Colombia and holds a LLM in International Law from Georgetown University. He began his professional experience in the 16th Circuit Civil Court of Bogota, and worked as an associate of Brigard & Urrutia during nine years at the Litigation Department. He also worked as Director of the Department of Litigation and Arbitration at Lloreda Camacho lawyers for a period of seven years (four as Partner). Mr. Salazar is currently partner at Botero Salazar Tobon & Abogados where he focuses his practice on arbitration, litigation and insurance matters. He has been recognized among the leading individual in the field of insurance and litigation in Colombia by Chambers and Partners (2012) and also recognized in dispute resolution by other publications including, PLC Which Lawyer, Best Lawyers and International Law Office. He is a member of several institutions, including: the Colombian Association of Insurance, the American Bar Association, Section of Litigation, Latin American Arbitration Association and the Colombian Institute of Liability.
